Alessandra is an anthropologist and a documentary photographer/filmmaker. She is the co-founder of Wimblu, a creative documentary studio telling stories that reconnect ecology and culture in order to restore our sense of belonging and connection to the planet. She is also the communication coordinator for Costa Rica Regenerativa, an organization working to weave the conditions to transition towards a regenerative development model. Amid our planetary crisis, she believes in the power of stories to re-awaken us to the animacy of the world and thus reimagine a fair and healthy world for all life forms. Her work explores the human-environment relationship and is inspired and informed by the fields of environmental humanities, ecofeminism, and spiritual ecology. More specifically, I am attracted to topics concerning changing landscapes, emotional geographies, and the affective and justice dimensions of environmental impacts.
