Documentary Première: “Why Women Need To Climb Mountains” The amazing life of historian Gerda Lerner.

November 9, 2016 @ 6:00 pm - 9:30 pm

The title of the film can be misleading as it has nothing to do with mountain climbing (all of us have climbed many in our lives) and yet the analogy is perfect. The film is based on the amazing life and subsequent work of Gerda Lerner, who escaped Nazi Austria and later became one of the important historians of our times. The film shows rare film footage of the 40s and 50s from Vienna and New York and will brings a deep insight into a new storytelling of history, which will change your perspective on the matter.  Gerda Lerner’s message is so relevant today and can have a significant impact on how we perceive our political and societal systems.
